Ep. 243 - Charles Manson and The Family

We get to the bottom of the most infamous murder of the 1960s and its numerous connections to intelligence.

This week Scott, Patrick and Jared try to give a decent summation of the infamous 1969 murder spree accredited to the enigmatic Charles Manson and his followers known as "The Family." Manson survived a traumatic childhood before spending the majority of his life in correctional institutions and ended up in the care of Roger Smith, a federal parole agent also in charge of the CIA MK-Ultra affiliated Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic alongside esteemed colleague Louis Jolyan West. In the ensuing 2 years Manson's career of crime and depravity would become the stuff of legend, allegedly being the death knell for the entire hippie movement. We investigate.
